Pendine Outdoors Sprint Triathlon
Pendine.
This event made it’s debut last year and proved to be a huge success with all those taking part. Pendine provides a truly fantastic location for this open water sea swim and this is the perfect opportunity to spend the weekend down in West Wales. The event starts at 10.30am with a 500m open water sea swim and it will be a mass start. The 20km bike ride will then take you down to the historic village of Laugharne with it’s magnificent castle and best known as the place where Dylan Thomas spent the last years of his life. Once back in Pendine you will then have a 5km run along the Pendine sands which became known the World over when the Land speed records were set there in the early 1920’s. A family BBQ will follow the event and we hope everyone stays down for the weekend to enjoy the Pendine hospitality. Triathletes can also donate or raise money for the John Hartson Cancer Foundation which is Healthy Life Activities official charity for 2013.
