Natural Landscape of Carmarthenshire
Llyn y Fan Fach
Welcome to ‘The Garden of Wales’.
When it comes to beautiful, natural assets, Carmarthenshire is extremely very well off.
In Carmarthenshire we are extremely lucky. We have some of the highest, most dramatic mountain scenery in southern Britain as well as some of the most beautiful beaches.
As the rivers make their way from the Black Mountain down to the sea, they fall over many breathtaking waterfalls, meander through lush green pasture and finally disperse through some of the most beautiful estuaries you will ever see.
Black Mountain
Throughout this varied landscape you will find some of Britain’s most interesting wildlife. From red kites and sparrow hawks to the rare musk beetle, Carmarthenshire has wildlife most people never get the chance to see.
