Caving, Rock climbing and Abseiling are activities which are readily available throughout the county of Carmarthenshire. Other options such as mountaineering, high and low ropes courses are also available.

Caving
Caving is a great activity for the whole family. Activities centre like Morfa Bay Adventure have their very own ancient cave system the Green Bridge cave. Steeped in history, the caves were once thought to have been used by smugglers and bandits, you will here ancient tales as your instructor takes you from chamber to chamber through small passages on your hands and knees! You will be kitted out with a caving suit, helmet and head torch. Carmarthenshire has two major caves, Llygad Llwchwr, meaning "Eye of the Loughor", which is a fascinating cave consisting of a dry, high level series and an active river level and Ogof Pwll Swnd, which has 1km of known passages and chambers.

Abseiling

Abseiling
Abseiling is not for the faint hearted, but if you dare to give this a go, it will give you a real taste of adventure. Exhilarating ascents and breathtaking descents are the order of the day as you harness up, hook up and get climbing. But as they say 'what goes up must come down', you will not only be learning about climbing, but also just how to descend.

Zip Lining

Zip lining & High Ropes
Definition - 'Zip Lining involves being propelled by gravity from the top to the bottom of an inclined cable on a pulley and body harness'.
High ropes courses are a challenging outdoor activity. In order to complete the course individuals must climb a variety of obstacles which consist of using a cargo net, Burma bridge or Jacob's ladder, made of rope, and artificial climbing wall. Courses range from 25 feet through 50 feet tall.
