Beach Based Activities
Experience the thrill of travelling at speed inches above the famous Pendine Sands - home of numerous land speed records and attempts. Land yachting is a great alternative for experienced sailors wishing to test their knowledge on dry land. Travel at speeds of up to 35/40 mph inches from the sand, on such a historical beach, what more could someone ask for!!
Parakarting & Land Yachting
Parakarting or Kite buggying is the activity of being propelled across the land in a wheeled vehicle powered by the wind. With two 7 mile + sandy beaches, Carmarthenshire is a firm favourite. Parakarting takes place on specific beaches under agreement between the local authority and the Land Sailing Club. Carmarthenshire Land Sailing Club (CLSC) is a club that provide access to the beaches for Kite Buggiers. For more information, contact Carmarthen Land Sailing Club, e-mail:
